Inside The Bunker

We’ve hit that phase of the year where Leah has sequestered herself in either the library or a bedroom. Just her and her books and her computer and maybe some nuts she bought from Trader Joes.

She’s in the bunker studying for her finals.

When she’s in the bunker, so am I, but it’s kind of different. Her job is to figure out real estate transactions or administrative policies. My job is to get the hell out of her way, try not to bother her too much and let her do her thing.

Some times she struggles with her focus, some times I struggle with my not bothering her. But we make it work.

She only has a few more days to get through and then she can escape, breath some fresh air, maybe watch a movie (probably Wolverine, though she doesn’t know it yet) and get back to work on our house.
